Buying that first bra can be a really stressful time for both the parent and the child for all sorts of reasons. Some of which will be pretty obvious whilst others may run a little deeper. Spare a thought for those single dads out there who will have double trauma in the first bra buying escapade for both himself and is daughter.

The problem you see is teenagers. They are moody hormone laden little critters who are being battered around around by their wild mood swings and volatile emotions. Once you get a little insight into what's going on in their heads the whole first bra buying stress out will make a lot more sense. You see they, the teenagers are growing at an alarming rate and their young bodies are rapidly changing too.

She will turn buying her first bra into a real drama if you don't handle the situation with a little tact and diplomacy it will spiral right out of control deteriorating into a major teenage strop out. You know that her first bra should be practical whilst pretty and offer that all important support for a growing girl. Your darling daughter however will probably have other ideas in her head though.

She will have her heart set on the latest designer label brand for her first bra and nothing is going to stand in her way. And don't you know "all her friends parents let them have one" so you will be evil if you don't treat her likewise. We know that her friends will be spinning their parents the same first bra tale but we can't use that argument. Resort to blackmail! She wears the practical support all day at school but can have the designer label for a special occasion. First bra crisis over.
